10 Things You Can Make with Foil Printing
Foil printing is such a fun art form that offers numerous possibilities for creative exploration. I love experimenting and discovering new things to make.
Below are my 10 favorite things you can create with a foil printer!
#1: Bookmarks
I am a big reader, so naturally, I love making bookmarks! What is really cool about these, too, is that you can easily use scrap paper to make them. (profit + sustainability –yes, please!!)
#2: Custom Stationery
Custom stationery is the perfect gift for newlyweds or friends who have a baby. I love to play around with the different paper colors and foil colors.
#3: Blind Debossing
A blind deboss is when you print just like normal, but don’t use any foil or ink. This results in a really subtle, pretty impression into the paper called a deboss. The image is being pushed down, rather than raised. I use my foil press for all my blind deboss prints!
#4: Wedding Invitations
Take your wedding invitations and save the dates to the next level with foil printing. Gold foil invitations are so elegant and luxurious!
#5: Leather Journals
Want to make leather journals or tags? You can foil print directly on leather!
#6: Menus
Every designer loves a good menu. Whether you team up with a local restaurant or sell pre-set designs on Etsy, foil printed menus are a blast.
#7: 3D Embossing
A foil printer can do many things, but one of my favorites lately is a 3D emboss. The ultimate texture and detail all in one!
#8: Plant Cards
For a while, I made these super cute plant cards with leftover scrap paper. I’m big on gifting plants to friends, and these were the perfect addition!
#9: Return Addresses
Elevate those envelopes with a foil-printed guest address. Nothing gets me more excited to open envelopes than when I get something like this in my mailbox!
#10: Greeting Cards
Make some greeting cards to sell on Etsy or gift to friends! I made these happy birthday cards with scrap paper, and loved using this glitter holographic foil.
